Abstract
Indigenous cyberspace management and governance in the country's cyber territory has been on the agenda since the second half of the 1980s, and especially since early 2006, the discussion of designing a national information network has been discussed. . However, the indigenous management of cyberspace through the national information network has not yet been achieved, and this situation has produced cultural, political, etc. challenges for the Islamic Republic of Iran. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is the pathology of cyberspace management in the Islamic Republic of Iran with emphasis on the national information network. Accordingly, the main research question is: What harms and challenges has cyberspace management in the Islamic Republic of Iran faced through the national information network? According to the research findings, the main disadvantages were the lack of theoretical consensus on the national information network among those in charge, unbalanced development, weak social attachment and the dominance of political views. What is now known as the National Operational Information Network is mainly focused on the infrastructure dimension and the two dimensions of service and content have been neglected, and this can not provide the cyber sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the local management of cyberspace.
